Ceramic Braces in Dulwich Hill

person with ceramic braces on their teethHave you considered orthodontic treatment but feel uncertain about having metal braces? The team at Wardell Dental Clinic has a solution for you: ceramic braces. We’ve been providing this service to our community for more than 20 years.

Ceramic braces are capable of addressing moderate to severe cases. Unlike metal braces, transparent ceramic brackets and wires are used. Your braces won’t be as noticeable so you can wear them and feel confident.

What Are Ceramic Braces?

These orthodontic appliances are almost identical to traditional metal braces, except that they use tooth-coloured brackets and wires. The shade of each bracket makes it seem to blend in with your smile. Unless you’re quite still and someone is looking closely, your ceramic braces may go completely unnoticed.

Ideal for Adults

We recommend ceramic braces to our adult orthodontic patients who may not qualify for Invisalign®. Since more moderate to severe tooth misalignment is challenging to manage with removable aligners, a fixed braces system is ideal.

However, most adults tend to dislike the idea of wearing metal braces. Tooth-coloured ceramic appliances offer the best of both worlds! Not only are we able to help correct significant tooth misalignment but we can help our patients look and feel their best throughout the process.

What to Expect

Your ceramic braces treatment will closely mimic that of a conventional orthodontics case. In most situations, we’ll see you every six weeks to make adjustments to your appliances or change out the arch wire.

The length of your treatment will vary, based on the movement that needs to occur. We’ll provide you with an expected time frame during your consultation. Most of our patients complete their therapy within 12-18 months.
